The Slime Inspector

"The Slime Inspector" is a Discord bot specifically built to interface between Gumroad and Discord. It allows server owners to configure roles that will be granted to their users when they provide an active license key from Gumroad. These roles can be used to grant special access within their Discord server or simply to confirm that a user owns a particular product on Gumroad.

Getting Started:

When you check out on this page, you will be redirected to the Discord invite link for the bot. Invite the bot normally and then do the following:

1. Add a channel for Logging. This channel will be spammed with messages as your users interact with the bot.
2. Inside that channel, run /start SlimeInspector and verify your license key via the prompts.
3. Then inside that channel, run /product to register your product with the bot.

You will need to enter the "Product ID" from gumroad that you can find on the "Content" page.

Users will then be able to use /start in any other place inside your server and when they verify, they will be given the role you assigned.

Users can also run /licenses to see which products they are registered as owning.

You are only being given access to the bot via this purchase. You are not given rights to the source code or other data.

I have taken significant measures to avoid tracking any private information. While the bot does need to be able to read license keys in order to function, it does not retain those keys! We are only tracking the Sale IDs related to the product.

Updates:

6/23/2023

• The bot now correctly handles gumroad's new API and now works for products that were made this year!
• When users start to interact with the bot, if they just leave the Product ID empty, they will be given a DROPDOWN of all products available in that server. Then they can select which product they want to register.
• When someone enters a license key in the /start command, it will respond with a lot more information on what they should be entering instead.
• When setting up new products, you can @ a role instead of having to type it in manually.
• Syncing when a user leaves and returns with some legacy products has been fixed and should work correctly now.
• All interactions now occur inside the server in hidden messages, rather than in DMs! We no longer need to have DMs turned on!
